Arnav and Khushi were at the Purple Orchid...Khushi's idea of a date and her choice of the venue had taken him totally by surprise !!!!
it wasnt like Khushi never surprised him but the fact that she went out of her way to do all this for him...well this surprise was in true ASR style...the venue,attire and setting and  he was glad that Khushi had  accepted his world just like how he had accepted hers !!!!

Arnav couldnt take his eyes off his love...she looked stunning in her black attire and  hairdo !!!!...he couldnt help but flirt with  her...life was worth living if Khushi was there with him 24*7...Arnav was holding Khushi's hand in his...lost in those doe  eyed pools that had nothing but love for him...he slowly kissed the tip of each of her fingers...Khushi blushed a deep crimson shade seeing  Arnav lost in her...
"Excuse me sir...but can I have your order ?? "...said a waiter who hated to interrupt the in-love couple though he hated doing it...Arnav broke off looking angry...interruptions seemed to follow them wherever they went...at his house and now during his date with Khushi !!!!

Arnav:Khushi what would U like to have ?? 

Khushi:Arnavji I will have whatever u order...am not familiar with the cuisine here...excuse me Arnavji...I need to go to the washroom..I will be back soon !!!

Arnav:okay Khushi !!!

Arnav placed their order and was waiting for Khushi when his gaze fell upon the couple sitting opposite him...it was as though he was struck by lightning...he felt the ground slipping beneath him...he couldnt believe it...

"Di"...gasped Arnav

his Di was sitting with Shyam...a smile playing on her lips...happily laughing away...he couldnt stand it...the deception broke his heart...he stayed rooted to his chair...limbs weakening...air leaving his body...he thought he might die...his Di for whom he had done so much...was sitting here talking to her cheat of a husband betraying the faith he had in her !!!!

meanwhile Khushi who had come back by then saw the drama unfolding in front of her eyes...she saw the myriad emotions that flitted across her Arnavji's face...the hurt...pain...betrayal...anger...fury...she couldnt bear it...she couldnt bear to see him in pain...she knew she had to get him away from there before he broke down completely...
Khushi went upto him and slowly held his hand tight in hers...he looked at her...tears slowly dripping down from the very brown eyes that were sparkling with joy sometime back...Arnav didnt react as she took him slowly to their car...he slipped in with Khushi next to him...he drove on...having no idea of their destination...they drove on for an hour before Arnav stopped...they had left the city by then...they were on the outskirts of the city when Arnav stopped the car...he turned to look at Khushi who had been holding his hand all through the drive...he could see the pain...fear...hurt in her eyes but he could also see the love and strength and support for him too in those eyes !!!!!

without a word he opened the door...got out...Khushi also did the same...they walked for sometime...they were in a deserted park...Arnav slowly sat down on the grass with Khushi next to him...she waited for the tempest to break...and it did  break !!!!

Arnav threw himself into Khushi's arms and cried...Khushi held him as he poured out his pain...agony writhing through him...tearing at his heart...his Di's betrayal flashed in front of his eyes...replaying it in graphic detail...Khushi cried along with him...she couldnt bear to see her husband in pain...yes he was her husband...they were remarrying for the society and family sake...they were remarrying so that Arnav could give Khushi her dream wedding but in her heart of hearts he was already her husband !!!!!

Khushi held him in her arms as his agony rode over him like the angry waves at sea...she knew she would be there for him...holding him through this trauma...she herself couldnt believe Di sitting there happily with that creep of her husband...she felt her old fears creeping back...she tightened her hold on Arnav...Arnav meanwhile had sensed the change in her emotion...he understood that Khushi was scared of Shyam's prescence in Di's life...he took her into his arms...hugging her protectively...burying himself into her tresses...he slowly lifted her face...the tears still glistening in their eyes...the pain...fear...fury...all emotions reflected in their eyes...he knew he had to assure her...promise her that he would be there to protect her...love her...cherish her...

Without a word He crashed his lips onto hers...she didnt stop him...she responded with equal passion and need...it wasnt a kiss born out of desire...
it was a promise sealed with love...
it was a solemn oath to trust each other...
it was Arnav's promise that he would always protect her...
it was their pain reflected in their first kiss...
it was Khushi's immaculate love and support that she showered in that single kiss...
