FF Love In Death Valley - Part 8

okay I know I have been long gone ... sorry guys ... even I hate the delays but my college schedule sucks bigtime .. I leave from home at 7 and come back at 5 ... so u can imagine how it is !! 

I promise I will try to manage 2 updates per week ... these stories are as special to me as it is to everyone who has followed it closely !!! 

I know its tough times for Arshians ... many of lost our spark to write last Nov when hell broke loose but this time it wont happen again !!! we will fight for our show ... and at the same time carry on with all our IPK related works with the same passion !! we will fight out this storm !!!

This update is specially for Priya  ( Chocolate_barun ) who has been a great help to me in collecting pictures for this story !! Also to Tina ... this story is in her name but I want to mention her here coz I want her to know that its her happiness that matters the most ... follow your heart love and we are all with you !! 

Khushi and Dayeus could see that Arnav was enraptured by Elissa and they could never blame him .. the first meeting with Elissa ... as far as any soul was concerned was always deemed special .. they say that the purer your heart is ... the more you can see the beauty and glory of Elissa but then the very next moment ... their smiles turned into expressions of shock ... before their very eyes ... Elissa's eyes grew stormy and dark ... she was still her beautiful self but there was an aura about her which made it unable to look into her eyes ... and to their horror ... Arnav fell onto his kness and collapsed onto the ground ...

his body writhed in agony ...

his skin turned a shade of blackish hue ...

his flesh burned a dark fiery red ...

his eyes were open and it held an expression of terror ...

his limbs failed him ... made him immobile ...

but his physical pains accounted for nothing in conmparison to what Elissa was making him visualize in his minds eye ...

Visions of torture surrounded him ...

Men getting slaughtered ...

Women dying ...

Children fighting and killing each other for survival ...

It was sheer BloodLust.

And amidst all this one face stood loud and clear and Arnav recognised the pair of green eyes as his own ...

The green eyes seemed to be shining with manical laughter and it seemed oblivious to all the darkness around him ... in a world of its own ... the very people who claimed to be his family and protectors were the one behind it ... his heart yelled out for it to stop but the visions kept flowing and Arnav could do nothing but bear the agony of the acts as though it had happened at his own hands !!

Meanwhile Khushi could take it no longer ... to see Arnav writhing in pain and torture ... seeing him unable to move ... she wanted it to end ... she could seeElissa's unwavering gaze on Arnav and she dared not break it ... she knew she was taught to never come in between her gaze lest she takes up another's pain or happiness upon herself ... but she could take it no longer ... this was Arnav ... the man she loved ... the man for whom she lived right from the day she was born and if he was in pain then she would share it !!

She was about to dart out right into their path of vision when Dayeus stopped her ... he restrained her... he knew what was happening ... this had been foretold ... more than anything ... it was Arnav's meeting with Elissa that confirmed Arnav's identity beyond all doubt !!

This was a trial by the fire that had been foretold centuries ago and it had multiple outcomes !!

Dayeus couldn't let Khushi become a thorn in its path ... now that Arnav's identity had been confirmed iron clad without a seed of doubt ... he knew the worst awaited Khushi and he could only pray that his child was strong enough to endure the agony that awaited her  ...

His Khushi was strong but to undergo the pain that was expected of her... well it could kill any mortal but if Nysa had to be revived then Arnav and Khushi had to pay the price !!

Just then they saw Elissa relax ... her eyes became soft and gentle ... and Arnav lay still as though dead ... Khushi had eyes for no one as she ran to Arnav and knelt down beside him ... she took him into her arms ... cradling him within her embrace... her tears falling gently onto him but he didn't twitch a muscle ...

"Arnav please open your eyes ... look at me ... just look at me once ... I am so sorry I brought you here ...I am so sorry you had to go through this pain ... its over now Arnav and I am taking you back ... I wont let anyone harm you again ... come back to me Arnav  !! "

Khushi turned to Elissa ... her eyes red from her tears but fury took over her as she saw Elissa smiling at her ...

"What have you done to him ???

You told me to bring him here so that he could know his past ... you wanted him here so that he could know Nysa and its people... the real history and when you have him with you ... you give him nothing but pain !!!

I have always loved you ... listened to you ... you are the one who taught me to love Arnav more than my own life ...

You were the one who told me that Arnav is mine !!!

Then how could you do this to him ??

How can you hurt the man I love with all my heart ??

How can you give him so much pain ???

Answer me Elissa before I do something you will regret later !!! "

Elissa and Dayeus smiled as they saw Khushi's raging heart ... they could see her love for Arnav and they were happy that her love had not gone in vain !!

Elissa came forward and knelt beside Arnav ... she stroked his forhead ... her fingers grazing his closed eyelids ...

"Rise Arnav From Your Dark Slumber ... Your Agony Is Testament That You Are Indeed The True Prince Of Dark Valley !! "

And as Khushi watched ... Arnav opened his eyes ... her face sliding into his vision first thing as he took in his surroundings ... he could see Khushi's tear stained eyes ... her face ashen with pain and fear ...

He gently raised himself and cupped her cheeks ... wiping away her tears ...

"Do not waste your tears for me Khushi ... I am a beast ... a living beast ... I have been one all my life and today I saw the real me and the pain you saw me undergo was nothing in comparison to the evil and dark acts that I have committed ... for what I have done ... I deserve much more than this !! "

Khushi was about to refute when Elissa cut her off ...

"Arnav is right ... this is nothing in comparison to what he has done and the worst is yet to come Arnav  ... what you saw just now was the beginning of evil in Nysa ... a time before Nysa became Death Valley ... what you saw was not your past alone ...what you  saw was you in your previous birth Arnav !! "

Her words were greeted by a stunned silence ... only Dayeus appeared unmoved by the revelation !

Khushi was the first to speak ...

"Explain yourselves Elissa .. what do you mean he saw himself in his previous birth ??? what are you talking about and what are you going to do to him ... if you cause him more pain then I am not going to stand by and watch ... you will have to hurt both of us !!! "

Elissa looked at Khushi ... a sad smile on her face .. little did Khushi know...

the fate that awaited her...

the fate that awaited Arnav ...

the pain they would have to endure together !!!

"Khushi what happened just now... it was prophecied centuries ago ... when the time came for Arnav to meet Elissa ... it was said that he would be bared to all the sins that his soul had committed ... not just in this birth but from his previous birth as well ... it was trial by the fire for Arnav ... the fact that Arnav could see his own evil confirmed it beyond doubt that...

he is indeed the dark prince of Death Valley ...

the curse of Nysa ...

the only hope for the revival of Nysa ...

it could have been an impostor who walked in with you today and you wouldn't even know Khushi and if it was so then the impostor would never be able to see what Arnav saw !!

But now that Arnav is here ... the long arduous journey that you both have to undertake is just about to begin ... and the wise say that Pain is the first step to understanding and accepting your reality !!

Arnav's punishment '. The price that he has to pay for everything that his soul has committed over the long years ... well I would call it a terrible price but he has to pay it and survive the act if you both should have any hopes of winning this war ...

Khushi ... you are Arnav's love ' the only existence he has ever loved ' the only soul about whom he cares deeply !!

To hurt Arnav ' you have to be subjected to pain ... its your pain that can scorch his heart .. to know the gravity of the sins he has committed on the others ... he has to watch you suffer ... see you take the brunt of all the evil acts that happened at his hands ...

And thats exactly what is going to happen !!! "

A loud scream greeted Elissa's words ... Arnav had screamed his heart out in pain ... Khushi stood shocked by his side !!

"NO !!! it cant be Elissa ... there has to be some other way !!! there is no way I am going to let Khushi bear the pain for the sins that I have done !!!

I will bear the pain ... if I hhave to give up my life as punishment then I will do it ...

If I have to rip my soul into a million shreds then so be it but my Khushi ... not her Elissa !!!

You cant do this to her !!!! "

Elissa shook her head ...

"Thats exactly what you are being asked to do Arnav ... ask yourself  !!!  Khushi is your soul ... she is the reason behind your existence today ... and its only her pain that can move you ... its only her pain that can make you feel the real horror !!!

You have to watch the pain rip her into nothing to understand what you have done over the years !!!

This is the price you have to pay Arnav or else your redemption isn't complete and you will have no chances of reviving Nysa  !!!

You will have to pass through each ring of fire ... meeting all its demands if you want Nysa back ... if you think staying in Death Valley will help you protect Khushi from pain ... then let me tell you this ... the darkness in your land will kill her beyond your worst imaginations !!!

Khushi is the symbol of light and happiness as you have aptly named her and if you take her into the land of darkness then she will perish !!! "

Arnav was about to retaliate but he felt Khushi's hands on his ... her eyes were calm and clear ... her face set ... she had heard everything that Elissa had to say and she knew that whatever she heard was inevitable if she and Arnav needed to survive ... and she would go to any extent to live her life with Arnav !!

" I am ready Elissa ... Arnav's redemption cannot be left incomplete and if it requires my suffering then so be it !! no matter how fearsome the pain is ... I will endure it ... I will survive it and Arnav's price will be paid !! "

Arnav was unable to stop her ... he could see that this is was something that was beyond his control ... Khushi's steely resolve hardened his will ... he turned towards her ... but it was Khushi who spoke...

"Dont stop me Arnav ... this has to be done ... the price has to be paid ... and I will come back to you ... you have to fight my pain for me ... no matter how excruciating it is ... you need to endure it and fight it out ... you should never stop Elissa ... watch me in pain Arnav so that we can save each other and all of Nysa !!!

I love you Arnav ... always have ... always will !!! "

Arnav hugged her tight in his arms ... his heart twisted and clenched in fear in anticipation of what was about to transpire ... he didn't know how or where Khushi would be tortured but he wanted this to be over fast '

"I swear Khushi ... this will be the first and last time when you will be subjected to pain while I am made to stand and watch ... this will be the last time that you will suffer because of me ... this will be the last time you will know pain !!! "

And with that he kissed her ... and she responded back amidst tears ... she could feel his pain ... his fear ... she forgot her own fears of what was to come in his all encompassing love !!! their kiss ... pure and divine ... untainted ... born out of nothing but pure love and passion for each other ... it was kiss of promise to fight out this storm of gut wrenching agony together !!!

Breaking apart from the kiss they turned to Elissa and Dayeus who were watching them with sad smiles ... they spoke in unison ... their hands clasped together ...

"Hurt Us ... Let The Pain Tear Our Very Souls "
